How to get to Wiki

Wiki is located in a strategic position for our guests both travelling in train or plane as by car or moto, in fact it is possible get to Wiki in the easier and fastier way from Rome downtown or from Ciampino as Fiumicino airports. By car or moto it is possible to get to us in several ways : from GRA (Grande Raccordo Anulare the so called "O-Rings of Rome") or from the Tivoli or San Cesareo toll road exits, located on A1 (Roma-Napoli and Rome-Firenze-Milano) or A24-E80 (Roma-L'Aquila-Teramo).

 

 Get to Wiki by train from Rome Termini train station

The train it is best way to move between Wiki & Rome downtown. The train in fact it is the faster and cheaper connection between our local train station (Zagarolo, just 1200 meters from the hostel) and Rome downtwon central station (Roma Termini). It takes about 25/35 minutes. Do not stress yourself and save your time and money with the all inclusive tickets including no limit travels on this train connection and all the public transport of Rome downtown. Please save or print this infos in order to know how to move between Wiki & Rome downtown, Please note the train it is the cheaper (2.30 Euro) & faster connection (25/35 minutes) between Rome downtown (Rome Termini central station) and Wiki hostel (Zagarolo train station). Your stop it is Zagarolo our local train station located 1km from Wiki hostel (2 minutes by car, 12 minutes walking distance). A free Wiki shuttle (Zagarolo train station-Wiki hostel) it is available for all our guests, just contact us in advance in order to book the shuttle for you. Please note the last train from Rome downtown it is available at 11 pm, the first trains to Rome downtown are available starting on 5am, dozens & dozens of trains are available daily :)
In order to know your gate when in train stations : when in "Rome Termini" train station please look for trains directed to "Cassino" or "Frosinone" and remember your stop it is "Zagarolo" ; when in "Zagarolo" train station look for trains directed to Rome, all they arrive to "Rome Termini", just remember if you need to go to Ciampino airport to stop before at "Ciampino" train station.

If you need to check in advance the train timetable please check your time on the italian train company web site. Please note Wiki hostel local train station it is : "Zagarolo". Other usefull train stations they are : "Rome Termini" (Rome downtown) or "Fiumicino Aeroporto" (Fiumicino airport train station) or "Ciampino" (Ciampino city train station serving Ciampino airport).

 

About tickets & tourist passes :
Please visit our web site for any usefull and detailed infos about the tickets and the usefull "3 zone" tourist passes tickets (1 day BIRG 6€ or 3 days BTR 16€ or 7days CIRS 23€). The single one-way train ticket it is 2.30€, the single metro or bus ticket it is 1€ by ride. Wiki hostel suggest the "3 zones" tourist passes as the best way to your time & your money in fact  they are the best way to move freely (UNLIMITED RIDES!) on all public transports with including (for 1 day, 3 days or 7 days) : the train (between Wiki & Rome downtown) and all the public transports of Rome downtown such as tram, bus, subway (metro) ! Please note discount tickets are available for kids aged under 9 years old.

 

 Get to Wiki from FS Zagarolo (our local train station)

Zagarolo train station (FS Zagarolo) it is you stop if you are getting to Wiki by train. Wiki is located just 1,200 meters from Zagarolo train station,  5 minutes by car or 10/15 minutes walking.


Get to Wiki with the free Wiki-Shuttle from Zagarolo train station : A free courtesy shuttle service it is available for all Wiki's guests with no car upon request. Just advice us about your arrival, please call us by phone when you are in Zagarolo train station and we will arrive to pick up you for free. The Wiki-shuttle service it is available all days, 9 am to 10 pm. If you do not have a mobile phone, we suggest to have with you a local calling card, the cheapest it is available for 5 Euro and in all train station public phones are available. If you have still problem, just go to one of the bars located in front of Zagarolo train station and tell them you are a Wiki's guest and you need help, they will contact us ;)


Get to Wiki with the free Wiki-Shuttle from Zagarolo train station : If you want you can get to Wiki by bus, if on you arrival there are buses in front of the train station (big Cotral blue bus or little grey bus of the City of Zagarolo), just ask the driver if some it is good for Zagarolo (Wiki stop it is located on the rotatory nearby Eurospin discount).


Get to Wiki by walking from Zagarolo train station : Here below a map if you decide you can walk to us, it is a 10/15 minutes walk ;)

 Get to Wiki from Rome Aiports

Please note, Rome has 2 different airports. Fiumicino also called "Leonardo da Vinci" is the main international airport, it is located about 50 minutes outside of Rome downtown so you have to go to "Rome Termini" first by bus or train (directly from the indoor "Fiumicino aeroporto" airport train station & from here you need 25/35 minutes of trains in order to get to Wiki ("Zagarolo" train station). Ciampino also called "G. B. Pastine) is the low cost airport serving all the major national & european low cost companies (such as Ryan Air), it is located about 18 minutes by train from Wiki hostel, you need a bus or taxi ride from Ciampino airport to "Ciampino" train station and than just take the first train for Wiki ("Zagarolo" train station).

 

 Get to Wiki from Rome-Fiumicino airport

Fiumicino airport (Leonardo Da vinci) it is located in the city of Fiumicino, west of Rome. In order to get to us we suggest the public transports. Just follow the directions below for the public transports we suggest or the driving direction if you have your auto or moto or in case you think to rent a car.


From Fiumicino airport to Wiki by public transport : First go from the airport to Rome Termini (the central train station of Rome), you can choose between the train shuttle ("Leonardo Express", 14€, about 30 minutes, departure station located inside the airport) or the bus shuttle (8€, about 50 minutes, departure station just in front of the airport). When in Rome Termini you have to take a train connection (2,30€, about 25/30 minutes, directions of the train linee "Cassino" or "Frosinone" both linees are good for Wiki) your stop it is our local train station (Zagarolo). A free shuttle service from the local train station to Wiki hostel it is available upon request for all our guests with no car, all days from 9 am to 10 pm.


From Fiumicino airport to Wiki driving direction : You have to go in the direction of Highway A1 (Roma-Napoli). So you have first to go in the direction of Rome, than you have to drive in the O'Ring of Rome (GRA/Grande Raccordo Anulare) and from here you have to take the Highway A1 (Autostrada A1) direction Naples (Napoli) from the South of Rome toll road  (casello autostradale Roma Sud). After about 10 minutes on this Highway, exit at San Cesareo toll road (casello autostradale San Cesareo). After the toll road turn left, direction San Cesareo. After San Cesareo town follow the direction for Zagarolo & Palestrina. Wiki hostel private street (via Colle Casette 34) it is on your street, just where the street cross the town of Zagarolo. You can recognise you are arrived when you will cross a double rotatory where a big yellow sign (Guazzolini) it is in front of you and a white and blue building (Eurospin discount market) it is on your left. When you are here you are in the begininning of Zagarolo and you are arrived. Just look on your right for a big sign (Wiki hostel) and a little street, this is located between the 2 rotatories. When on the little just follow the parking signs till you find an open gate with our parking and reception. Please note the first gate you meet it is always closed to the car, do not stop here just follow the parking signs till the 2° gate on your right.

From Fiumicino by taxi or private transfer (minibus/bus) and driver : If you want to set up a private transfer we can help you so just contact us in advance and our booking centre will help you to book a private transfer with driver and mini-bus (2-6 people) or group's bus (35-55 people). Because this is service it is pretty expensive we suggest you to use it just if you really need. If you can we suggest to use the public tranports or to rent a car. We absolutely do not suggest to our guest to take any cabin or taxi, they will ask you crazy rates.

 

 Get to Wiki from Rome-Ciampino airport

Ciampino airport (G. B. Pastin) it is the low cost airport of Rome and it is located in the town of Ciampino, south of Rome in the direction where Wiki it is located (Zagarolo). In order to get to us we suggest the public transports. Just follow the directions below for the public transports we suggest or the driving direction if you have your auto or moto or in case you think to rent a car.


From Ciampino airport to Wiki by public transport : You just have to go from the airport to Ciampino train station, and than you have to take a 15/18 minutes train. The best way to go from Ciampino airport to the train station it is the Bus shuttle Atral-Cotral (1.2 €, 5/10 minutes, departure terminal just in front of the arrivals exit in front of Gate 2). If you do not want to wait for this bus you can arrive to the station just by taking a taxi, but be carefull they will ask you really too much, it is a 10 minutes ride so do not never pay more than 20€uro, make sure about the rate before taking the taxi. When in Ciampino train station you have to take a train connection (1.9€, about 15/18 minutes) for our local train station (Zagarolo), all trains for the direction of Cassino or Frosinone they are good. Remember Zagarolo it is your stop and a free shuttle service from the local train station to Wiki hostel it is available upon request for all our guests with no car, all days from 9 am to 10 pm, just call us when you are on the train or when you are arrived at Zagarolo train station. If you do not have a mobile, it is usefull to have a local phone card (5€uro) so to use the public phones located in all the train stations. Or just ask for an help to one of the 2 Bars just outside the train station, if you tell them you are a Wiki guest they will help you and they will call us ;)


From Ciampino airport to Wiki driving direction : You have to go in the direction of Highway A1 (Roma-Napoli).  Get to Wiki from Anagnina Subway of Rome Terminal (line A-red)

Wiki it is not far from Anagnina Subway of Rome terminal. We suggest to move between Wiki & Anagnina just ig you have a your moto of car. Just drive to the O'Ring of Rome (GRA/Grande Raccordo Anulare) & immediately take the exit for A1 Roma-Napoli Highway (Autostrada A1) direction Naples (Napoli) from the South of Rome toll road  (casello autostradale Roma Sud). After about 10 minutes on this Highway, exit at San Cesareo toll road (casello autostradale San Cesareo). After the toll road turn left, direction San Cesareo. After San Cesareo town follow the direction for Zagarolo & Palestrina. Wiki hostel private street (via Colle Casette 34) it is on your street, just where the street cross the town of Zagarolo. Get to Wiki by Auto/Moto & Highways (toll roads)

By car or moto it is possible to get to us in several ways. Wiki it is just a few of minutes away from the A1 Roma-Napoli highway (San Cesareo exit) or A24-E80 Roma-L'Aquila-Teramo highway (Tivoli exit). Both the highway are usefull if you are getting to us from GRA (Grande Raccordo Anulare) the O'Ring of Rome and from the airport.


Get to Wiki by Highway from North of Italy : Suggested highway exit it is Tivoli. From Highway A1 (Autostrada Milano-Roma-Napoli) follow the direction for Rome (Roma) and when around Roma do not exit at north of Rome (Roma Nord) but proceed south direction Naples (Napoli) till you cross the A24-E80 Highway (Autostrada Roma-L'Aquila-Teramo), take this highway direction L'Aquila-Teramo just for a few of minutes, and exit a Tivoli. Than follow the direction "Get to Wiki from Tivoli toll road (Highway A24-E80)", below.


Get to Wiki by Highway from East coast of Italy : Suggested highway exit it is Tivoli. From the east coast take the A24-E80 Highway (Autostrada Roma-L'Aquila-Teramo), take this highway direction Rome (Roma) just for a few of minutes, and when you are almost arrived to Rome exit a Tivoli. Than follow the direction "Get to Wiki from Tivoli toll road (Highway A24-E80)", below.


Get to Wiki by Highway from South of Italy : Suggested highway exit it is San Cesareo. Take the Highway A1 (Autostrada A1) direction Rome (Roma) and when you are almost arrived to Rome exit at Cesareo toll road (casello autostradale San Cesareo). After the toll road turn left, direction San Cesareo. Than follow the direction "Get to Wiki from San Cesareo toll road (Highway A1 Roma-Napoli)", below.


Get to Wiki by Highway from West coast of Italy : Suggested highway exit it is San Cesareo. You have to go in the direction of Highway A1 (Roma-Napoli). So you have first to go in the direction of Rome, than you have to drive in the O'Ring of Rome (GRA/Grande Raccordo Anulare) and from here you have to take the Highway A1 (Autostrada A1) direction Naples (Napoli) from the South of Rome toll road  (casello autostradale Roma Sud). After about 10 minutes on this Highway, exit at San Cesareo toll road (casello autostradale San Cesareo). After the toll road turn left. Than follow the direction "Get to Wiki from San Cesareo toll road (Highway A1 Roma-Napoli)", below.


Get to Wiki from Tivoli Toll Road (Highway A24-E80) : Wiki and our town (Zagarolo) it is located 8 kilometers from Tivoli exit. After the toll road turn left and follow the direction for Zagarolo. Wiki hostel private street (via Colle Casette 34) it is on your street. When you arrive at Zagarolo you will see a rotatory (Welcome in Zagarolo) with sportive yard on your left, from here you have 2 more kilometers just proceed on your way till you do arrive to the opposite side of the town (oriented in the direction of Palestrina). You can recognise you are arrived when you cross the new part of the town till a double rotatory where a white and blue building (Eurospin discount market) it is on your right. When you are here you are arrived. Just take the firts rotatory (leaving the Eurospin on your left) and look on your right for a big sign (Wiki hostel) and a little street, this is located between the 2 rotatories. When on the little street just follow the parking signs till you find an open gate with our parking and reception. Please note the first gate you meet it is always closed to the car, do not stop here just follow the parking signs till the 2° gate on your right.

Get to Wiki from San Cesareo Toll Road (Highway A1) :  Wiki and our town (Zagarolo) it is located 7 kilometers from San Ceasreo exit. After the toll road turn left, direction San Cesareo and Zagarolo & Palestrina. After San Cesareo town follow the direction for Zagarolo & Palestrina. Wiki hostel private street (via Colle Casette 34) it is on your street, just where the street cross the town of Zagarolo. You can recognise you are arrived when you will cross a double rotatory where a big yellow sign (Guazzolini) it is in front of you and a white and blue building (Eurospin discount market) it is on your left. When you are here you are in the begininning of Zagarolo and you are arrived. Just look on your right for a big sign (Wiki hostel) and a little street, this is located between the 2 rotatories.  Get to Wiki by Auto/Moto & Statal Roads (no toll roads)

Wiki it is located between 2 of the main statal roads (SS/Strada Statale) of Rome : via Casilina or via Prenestina Nuova, all the streets bring to Rome... ;) ... but we dot not suggest to use those road because of the intensive traffic, higlights and crossroads of those roads passing thru crowd and not really nice looking suburbs of Rome. If you really have to follow the directions below.


Get to Wiki from SS Casilina :  Wiki and our town (Zagarolo) it is located about 4 kilometers from the cross road with the SS Casilina. When you are on SS Casilina and near the town of San Cesareo, just follow the signs for Zagarolo and take the SS Prenestina Nuova. Wiki hostel private street (via Colle Casette 34) it is on your street, just where the street cross the town of Zagarolo. You can recognise you are arrived when you will cross a double rotatory where a big yellow sign (Guazzolini) it is in front of you and a white and blue building (Eurospin discount market) it is on your left. When you are here you are in the begininning of Zagarolo and you are arrived. Just look on your right for a big sign (Wiki hostel) and a little street, this is located between the 2 rotatories. When on the little just follow the parking signs till you find an open gate with our parking and reception. Get to Wiki from SS Prenestina :  Wiki private street (via Colle Casette 34) it departures from SS Prenestina Nuova exactly where this Street meet the town of Zagarolo. When you are on SS Prenestina Nuova and near the town of Zagarolo you are arrived. You can recognise you are arrived when you will cross a double rotatory where a big yellow sign (Guazzolini) it is in front of you and a white and blue building (Eurospin discount market) it is on your left. When you are here you are in the begininning of Zagarolo and you are arrived. Just look on your right for a big sign (Wiki hostel) and a little street, this is located between the 2 rotatories. When on the little just follow the parking signs till you find an open gate with our parking and reception. Please note the first gate you meet it is always closed to the car, do not stop here just follow the parking signs till the 2° gate on your right.

 

 Get to from Rainbow or ZooMarine

 Get to Wiki by Bike

Also it is possible to get to us by bike, ad example by train it is possible to buy a ticket for the bike and it is possible to transport the bike in the first or last wagon of regional trains, included those from Rome Termini to Zagarolo train station. Also it is possible to get to us by the nearest state road streets as SS Casilina or SS Prenestina Nuova.

 

 Get to Wiki from Civitavecchia (Port of Rome)

Civitavecchia, the port of Rome, it is located outside of Rome, north. From here you can get to us by train or by your car or moto. If you have to arrive by train : take a bus or a taxi from the harbour to Civitavecchia train station and take any trains for Rome Termini central train station, than follow the directions "how to get to us by train". If you have to arrive by car, drive from Civitavecchia to G.R.A. (Grande Raccordo Anulare the so-called O'ring of Rome), than follow for A1 (Roma-Napoli) tool road and take the exit San Cesareo, than follow the directions "how to get to us by car or moto".

 Get to Wiki by private Transfer

  If you want to set up a private transfer we can help you so just contact us in advance and our booking centre will help you to book a private transfer with driver and mini-bus (2-6 people) or group's bus (35-55 people). Because this is service it is pretty expensive we suggest you to use it just if you really need. If you can we suggest to use the public transports or to rent a car. So just contact us in advance if you want and estimate for this service or you want to book it.

 

 Get to Wiki by Taxi

We absolutely do not suggest to get to us by taxi, they will ask you too much, the train it is much much better. Just if necessary, if trains are not available for you timetable we suggest to set up a private transfer by minibus (if you are a group of 2-6) or bus (if you are a group).
